Welcome Message

It gives me great pleasure to welcome you to our new school website.

This new facility marks an important time in the school’s story. From September 2014 we are ‘One School: Two Sites’. Our Early Years Department, inclusive of Children’s Centre and Pre-School services will be on our Gladstone Street site, which opened in 1897. Our Key Stage Two Department, running alongside community services, opens on the 8th September 2014.

Gladstone Primary School was judged to be a ‘good’ school by the Ofsted inspectorate in January 2013. We are proud of this Ofsted outcome and continue to not only maintain this standard but continue on our journey of improvement. We attracted media interest as the first school in the country to show statistically that every child acquired English as an additional language. The children learn to speak English very quickly, enjoy their learning and make rapid progress in their learning.

The staff team works very hard to ensure the school curriculum is relevant, broad, meaningful and as enriched as we can make it. This means the children go out on educational visits regularly and we have visitors to the school. The children and staff are very well supported by the administration, site and catering teams.

Gladstone Primary School is a very busy place, There is never a dull moment and we always give visitors a warm welcome. If you are interested in visiting our school please contact the school office on either 01733 343908 or

Enjoy visiting our website
